F.A.Q.
I get lots of emails with lots of questions every day, so I decided to compile my frequently asked questions here. If I don’t answer your question on this list, be sure to email me through the contact page. I’m happy to chat!
Let’s get the most frequently asked question of all frequently asked questions out of the way first, shall we?

You can buy signed paperbacks in my online shop or you can get them signed in person at one of my appearances.
My husband and I grew up in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The Soul Summoner is based there in Asheville and its surrounding towns. We are a military family, so we have moved around a lot since, but we frequent the Asheville area.
Planning a visit? My big brother owns the Pisgah Forest Gem Mine, in Pisgah Forest and in Hendersonville, NC. You should totally visit him (ask for Daryl) and tell him how wonderful, talented, smart, and amazing I am. He LOVES that sort of thing.
I’ve always suffered from? enjoyed? an overactive imagination. When I was a kid, it was a problem. (I gave up baths at age 7 after sneaking and watching JAWS because I was afraid a shark would eat me in the bathtub. Seriously.) Today, that same imagination is paying off. But I still can’t watch scary movies.
- Just write! This is often this biggest dang hurdle.
- Don’t be intimated. We all started somewhere. You can too.
- Journal often. Allow it to be MESSY.
- Find out what you love to read because it will be what you’ll love to write.
- Allow your own self to feel your feelings. Soak in the world around you. Then, with pen in hand or at the keyboard, truly let your imagination run wild.
- STOP saying and believing you can’t. I promise, you can. If you have a story and a desire to tell it, then congratulations: WRITING IS YOUR BIRTHRIGHT.
